Unique Viewers Page
Unique Viewers are the number of viewers who engaged with your streaming platform over a certain period of time. The Unique Viewers page displays detailed data based on the ViewerID such as the Stream ID and Subscriber ID, and the key metrics associated with it such as the Plays, Total Minutes, App Count, Episodes, and Total Streaming Days.
Note: This page displays only 500 rows for a preview of the data. If you want to export the complete data, you must download the report.
Accessing the Unique Viewers Page
To access the page:
- From the Audience application menu, click Overview.
- On the Overview page, click the number displayed in the Subscribers tile, and then click Unique Viewers Page.
Additionally, you can access this page from any dashboard that displays the Unique Viewers metric.
Interval Settings
The default interval is Last 7 Days. Click the dropdown to customize the intervals for the current interval and the comparison interval. See Intervals for more details.
Filters
You can use the filters on every page of Audience to select dimensions that allow you to narrow your focus to include video sessions that match certain attributes. For more information, see Using Filters.
Configuring the Unique Viewers Page
You can customize this page to display only those columns which contain the data that is most valuable to your analysis.
To configure the columns on this page:
- Click the Configure dropdown to display the list of column names.
A check mark next to a column name indicates that the column is displayed on the page.
- To remove a column, clear the check box and click Apply.
The column is removed from the page.
Working With Reports
Note: This page displays only 500 rows for a preview of the data. If you want to export the complete data, you must download the report.
You can perform the following tasks on this page.
Downloading a Report
You can download a report in a CSV, TXT, and Excel formats.
To download a report:
- Click the kebab icon next to the Configure dropdown menu and click Download.
- Enter a unique name for the report.
- Select the preferred format of the report.
- Clear the check boxes of the metrics and / or Viewer ID you want to exclude from the report.
- In the Limit section, select the number of rows you want to add to the report.
- If you want to preview the data with a limit of 500 rows in the report, select Results in Table.
Note: Depending on the limitation of your browser, if the report contains more than 100,000 rows, the report may get downloaded but will display an error.
- If you want to export the complete data, select All Results.
- If you want to preview the data with a limit of 500 rows in the report, select Results in Table.
- Click Download.
The report is downloaded.
Sending a Report
You can either email the report or send it to an Amazon S3 account.
Note: The only report format currently available is CSV.zip.
To send a report:
- Click the kebab icon next to the Configure dropdown menu and click Send.
- Enter a unique name for the report.
- Clear the check boxes of the metrics and / or Viewer ID you want to exclude from the report.
- In the Limit section, select the number of rows you want to add to the report.
- f you want to preview the data with a limit of 500 rows in the report, select Results in Table.
- If you want to export the complete data, select All Results.
- In the Delivery Options dropdown menu, select Email or Amazon S3 account.
- If you select Email, enter the email address and an optional message, and click Send.
Note: If your email server has a size limit, reports that exceed 10M may not get uploaded.
- If you select Amazon S3, enter the details in the S3 Details section, and click Send.
- If you select Email, enter the email address and an optional message, and click Send.
The report is sent to the specified receiver/s.
Scheduling a Report
You can schedule a report to be sent to an email address or an Amazon S3 account on a daily, monthly, or weekly basis.
Note: The only report format currently available is CSV.zip.
To schedule a report:
- Refer to Sending a Report section from Step 1 to step 5.
- In the Scheduling Options section, select the frequency of report delivery.
The options in the Send dropdown menu changes with the selected frequency.
- Select the time zone.
- To test the settings, click Send Test.
Depending on your choice of report delivery, you will receive a test report either in your email or S3 account. Verify if this is the type of report you want to set as recurring.
- Click Save.
