At the session level (available in Conviva Connect), the paused ratio is calculated as the sum of the session pause time divided by the session pause, playing, and rebuffering times.
For aggregation, this metric shows the sum of all the paused time for sessions with an ended play divided by the sum of the paused time, playing time and rebuffering time for sessions with an ended play.
Paused Ratio is an 'Ended' type metric that is calculated only for the sessions that have ended.
Note: This metric includes the time for pauses that occurred during ads delivered with SSAI, but not pauses that occurred during CSAI delivered ads.
Distributions
-
Paused Ratio vs Ended Plays Distribution: a distribution by preset buckets, where each bucket is the Paused Time that occurred for the respective amount of Ended Plays.
-
This distribution can help the publishers understand which bucket of paused time has more plays to make a better decision on the type and length of the advertisements played during the content playback.
