Playing Time (Ended)

Playing Time (Ended) measures the total video playing time accumulated across sessions that ended during the selected interval.

Note:  Playing time from ads inserted using Server-Side Ad Insertion (SSAI) is included in this metric.

For aggregation, this metric is sum of the total minutes across all sessions. Playing Time (Ended) is an 'Ended' type metric and is counted in the interval in which the play ends.

Playing Time (Ended) is available in Summary and Time Series formats.

Note: Playing Time (Ended) is not supported for CDNs. This metric display 'N/A' to indicate the metric value is not available.

Distributions

  • Play Duration Distribution: a distribution by preset buckets, where each bucket is the number of Plays for a given bucket of Play Duration. Play Duration is on x-axis. This distribution can help you to understand your audience engagement and illustrates the number of Plays with different amounts of playTime
  • Play Duration vs Average Peak Bitrate Distribution: a distribution by preset buckets, where each bucket is the Play Duration for a given bucket of Average Peak BitrateAverage Peak Bitrate is on the x-axis. This distribution can help you to understand your audience engagement for the different video bitrates. 
  • Play Duration vs Connection Induced Rebuffering Ratio: a distribution by preset buckets, where each bucket is the Play Duration  for a given bucket of Connection Induced Rebuffering RatioConnection Induced Rebuffering Ratio is on the x-axis. This distribution can help you to understand your audience engagement for the different amounts of connection induced rebuffering. 
  • Play Duration vs Rebuffering Ratio  Distribution: a distribution by preset buckets, where each bucket is the Play Duration for a given bucket of Rebuffering Ratio Rebuffering Ratio  is on the x-axis. This distribution can help you to understand your audience engagement for the different amounts of rebuffering. 
  • Playing Time (Ended) vs Ended Plays Distribution: a distribution by preset buckets, where each bucket is the number of Ended Plays for a given bucket of duration. This distribution can help you to understand your audience engagement for the different amounts of Ended Plays

Note: Differences may appear between Playing Time (Ended) and Playing Time (Interval) because playing Time (Ended) is an ended-type metric that displays the duration of only the plays that ended in the current interval. While Playing Time (Interval) is an interval metric that displays the duration of only the minutes played in the current interval.
